Big Laramie River Fishing Report

Fishing Conditions

The Big Laramie River is now experiencing low stream flow, but fish can still be found. Dry fly fishing is good during early mornings and late evenings. Also, recent rainfall has served to reduce water temperatures. Patterns to fish include small Flashback Pheasant Tail Nymphs, Jackson’s Yellow Sally Nymphs, Copper Johns, Princes, and Pat’s Rubber Legs. Sparse streamers, such as Platte River Spiders, fish well this time of year. For dries, throw Caddis, Tricos, Yellow Sallies, Pale Morning Duns, Parachute Adams, Adams Wulffs, and Mosquitos.
